SEOUL, September 21 (Yonhap) -- The title song "TOMBOY" of the group (G)I-DLE, which is considered the biggest hit song in the K-pop industry this year, has surpassed one hundred million streams on the global music platform Spotify, CUBE Entertainment announced on Wednesday.

The song "TOMBOY" shows the distinctive confidence of the group (G)I-DLE. The member of the group, So-yeon, participated in writing the lyrics, composing, and arranging the song. The characteristic of the song is the members' voices harmonizing with the rough yet majestic instrumental sound, providing intense pleasure.

As of August, this song is ranked first on the yearly cumulative Digital Comprehensive Chart of the Circle Chart (old Gaon Chart). This proves that the song is the most successful song of 2022.

The group is on their first world tour, touring 18 regions around the world, including Seoul, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Mexico City, Jakarta, and Tokyo.

They will be coming back with their fifth mini album, "I Love," on October 17.
