SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) -- Following the unexpected passing of 39-year-old actor Song Jae-rim on Tuesday, messages of condolence from fellow actors and fans have flooded social media.
Actor Yoo Sun, who co-starred with Song in the 2016 SBS drama Our Gab-soon, posted a heartfelt message alongside a photo of them together on her social media, expressing her sorrow: "So heartbreaking and so painful (...) May you find peace."
Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon shared a picture of Song's radiant smile, mourning the loss with the message, "I am saddened that I’ll never see this wonderful smile again. It’s so hard to send you off without a final goodbye. I’m sorry, and I’m sorry again."
Fellow actors struggled to come to terms with the sudden news. Actor Park Ho-san shared his disbelief, writing, "It’s hard to believe, with you being so bright. I’m sorry I couldn’t reach out." Song’s popularity extended internationally, especially after his appearance on the popular variety show We Got Married in 2014, which garnered him a substantial overseas following. International fans have also shared their condolences, posting messages in various languages on co-star Kim So-eun’s social media, where the two once portrayed an on-screen couple in both We Got Married and Our Gab-soon.
