SEOUL, April 21 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group I.O.I will release its third EP, "I.O.I : LOOP," on May 19 following its reunion after nine years, its agency said Tuesday.
According to Swing Entertainment, the group’s comeback marks its first activities together since a concert in 2017.
Formed through the 2016 Mnet audition program "Produce 101," I.O.I has reunited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its debut.
Two members, Kang Mi-na and Zhou Jieqiong, will not take part due to prior commitments. The group will promote as a nine-member act consisting of Im Na-young, Chungha, Kim Se-jeong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim So-hye, Yoo Yeon-jung, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Do-yeon and Jeon So-mi.
I.O.I will release a pre-release track on May 4. Following the EP’s release, the group will hold a three-day concert from May 29 to 31 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
