SEOUL, Apr. 4 (Yonhap) -- Japanese animated blockbuster “Suzume” will hit local theaters once again, this time with a Korean dubbed version.
South Korean-based distributor and importer Media Castle is set to roll out the Korean dubbed versions of two of the Japanese filmmaker Makoto Shinkai’s mega-hit animes “Suzume” and “Your Name.,” which was released in 2016, in May.
South Korean voice actress Jang Ye-na has been slated to play the voice of Suzume, while voice actor Jeong Ju-won will play the voice of Sota, the young man who turns into a chair in the film.
Jang has so far played the voice of major roles in a slew of iconic animated films, including “Moon Fairy Sailor Moon Stars” and “Dragon Ball Super,” while Jeong is best known for playing the voice of Everett K. Ross in Marvel Studio’s smash-hit films “Captain America” and “Black Panther” series.
For the Korean-dubbed “Your Name.,” voice actress Kim Ga-ryeong will play the voice of Mitsuha while voice actor Kim Kyung-tae will dub the voice of Taki.
