SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- South Korean disaster-thriller film “Concrete Utopia” will hit local theaters in August, its distributor said Friday.

Adapted from Kim Sung-nik’s webtoon “Pleasant Bullying,” the film follows survivors from a massive earthquake struggling for a new life in Seoul, according to Lotte Entertainment.

In this upcoming disaster film, veteran actor Lee Byung-hun will star as Young-tak, the new apartment representative who is willing to take any risks to protect his residence from intruders.

Meanwhile, Park Seo-joon will co-star as Min-sung, who is devoted to protecting his family. Park Bo-young will play opposite Park Seo-joon as his wife Myung-hwa, who does not give up her belief even in extreme situations.

Filmmaker Uhm Tae-hwa, who is the older brother of actor Uhm Tae-goo, took the helm of this star-studded film.
