Hollys to Land in Japan in H1, Open 1st Branch in Osaka

SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- Hollys announced on the 1st that it will enter the Japanese market in the first half of this year.

 

The company plans to establish a local subsidiary in Japan and open its first store at Marui Department Store in Namba, Osaka.

 

Hollys CEO Lee Jong-Hyun stated, "We have decided to make a direct entry into Japan, the largest coffee-consuming country in Asia, to introduce Korean cafe culture and coffee flavors." He added, "We plan to expand our stores to major cities in Japan and also enter other international markets."

 

Since its establishment in 1998 as an espresso specialty shop in Korea, Hollys has been introducing various beverages, bakery menus, and products for 26 years.
