SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Yonhap) -- Actors Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin are reuniting for the first time in 10 years for a psychological thriller.

 

MBC said Tuesday that its new Friday-Saturday drama "Liar," starring Yoo and Seo, will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 30.

 

"Liar" follows a man and a woman who make completely different claims about the same memory and clash as they seek the truth.

 

Yoo will play Min Joon-ho, a cardiac surgeon and single father raising his only son on his own. He is portrayed as a character who is extremely level-headed when holding a scalpel but warmhearted toward his son.

 

Seo will play Kang Ji-sun, an elementary school librarian who becomes entangled with Min, a parent at the school.

 

The two actors previously appeared together in the first season of SBS' "Dr. Romantic," which aired from November 2016 to January 2017, making this their first reunion in 10 years.

 

Ok Ja-yeon, Lim Sung-jae, Kim Ji-hyun and Lee Chun-hee will also star.

 

The screenplay is written by Baek Jae-young, while Jo Young-min, who directed "Do You Like Brahms?" and "The Interest of Love," will helm the series.
