SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- CJ Olive Young said Wednesday it will launch "Green Room," a new program on its Olive Young Live platform that combines a music talk show with live commerce and K-pop.

"Green Room" features an idol host inviting artists who have recently made comebacks to introduce their new albums and share behind-the-scenes stories.

Viewers can communicate with the artists in real time while purchasing albums that come with exclusive Olive Young benefits.

The first episode will air at 8 p.m. Wednesday. BTOB's Seo Eunkwang will host the program, with NMIXX members Lily, Sullyoon, Bae and Kyujin appearing. The group released its sixth EP on Oct. 19. The episode will feature a listening session for the group's new songs and performance stages.

The program will be simultaneously streamed on Olive Young Live in South Korea, the Olive Young TV YouTube channel and Olive Young's Japanese-language global online store. Real-time translation will also be provided for viewers in Japan.

Customers who purchase albums will be entered into a raffle to receive limited-edition photos, autographed albums and Olive Young gift cards. All purchasers will receive the equivalent of their shipping costs in Olive Young points.

Viewers will also have opportunities to win K-beauty products through fan participation games.

Olive Young began selling K-pop albums on its global online store in 2022 and has since expanded sales channels to its domestic online store and physical outlets. Album-category sales rose 152 percent in January-September from the same period last year.

Olive Young plans to air two pilot episodes of "Green Room" this year before making it a regular program and operating it on a seasonal basis starting next year.
