NewJeans' Japan Debut Single 'Supernatural' Tops Oricon Daily Single Ranking

SEOUL, June 24 (Yonhap) -- NewJeans' debut single in Japan, "Supernatural," has reached the top of the Oricon charts upon its release. According to their agency, ADOR, "Supernatural" claimed the number one spot on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking on the day of its release, June 21.

 

The title track of the same name has also secured the top position on Japan's local music sites like Line Music and AWA for two consecutive days. In South Korea, "Supernatural" is performing well on domestic music charts. It climbed to the 34th spot on Melon's 'Top 100' within an hour of its release and had reached 13th place by June 22.

 

Additionally, the music video for "Supernatural," which features a mysterious atmosphere and highlights the characteristics of the New Jack Swing genre, ranked second on YouTube's global daily popular music videos.

 

NewJeans showcased their new songs "Supernatural" and "Right Now" on Japan's Nippon TV. Their performance of "Right Now" was noted for its cool vibe and creative use of tables and chairs in the stage setup.

The group is scheduled to appear on Japan's TBS program "CDTV Live! Live!" on June 24.
