SEOUL, Nov. 24 (Yonhap) -- First-generation idol group H.O.T., which will mark the 30th anniversary of its debut next year, reunited for a full-group performance at the “Hanteo Music Festival” (HMF) held Nov. 22–23 at Inspire Arena on Yeongjong Island in Incheon.
According to festival organizer Hanteo Global on Monday, the event featured headliner H.O.T. as well as 2AM, Teen Top, Solar of Mamamoo, Oh My Girl, fromis_9, tripleS and rookie boy band Identity.
It was the first time in six years and two months that all five members of H.O.T. performed together, following their standalone concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul in September 2019.
Kangta said, “It’s really not easy to bring together idol groups from so many different generations. I felt grateful and emotional to be on stage with our juniors.”
Moon Hee-joon said seeing Identity greet them with H.O.T.’s team slogan “Please raise us!” reminded him of their own debut days. “We also met them in the waiting room, and they were very polite and talented,” he added.
Tony Ahn also praised the younger group, saying, “It felt like looking at ourselves when we were young. They’re good-looking and skilled.”
Identity, who performed earlier in the show, stayed to watch the performance of their “grand seniors” H.O.T., and the two groups interacted briefly on site.
The Hanteo Music Festival is organized by Hanteo Global, which also operates the Hanteo Chart.
