SEOUL, Jan. 31 (Yonhap) - Samsung Electronics has announced on the 25th that it has partnered with Oscar-winning film director and screenwriter Charlie Kaufman to release short films shot with Galaxy cameras.
Samsung Electronics has previously collaborated with British film director Joe Wright and Chinese film director Shamo to showcase movies taken with the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Director Kaufman, well-known for the films "Eternal Sunshine" and "Synecdoche, New York," completed a short film with excellent visual beauty and clear details by utilizing various video shooting functions provided by the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The upcoming short film "Jackals and Fireflies" was inspired by the work of poet Eva H.D. Kaufman expressed his thoughts and affection for New York in his unique way.
Filming director Chase Irving captures the beautiful night view of New York with the night-time shooting function of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
"Shooting using Galaxy smartphones is an effective approach to actualizing the movie," said director Kaufman, adding, "The finished work is very beautiful."
“Jackals and Fireflies” will be exclusively unveiled at the Galaxy Experience Space in San Francisco, USA, where the event will be held in time for Samsung Galaxy Unpack 2023 on February 1st (local time), and will also be presented to the public through a New York Premier event involving Kaufman.
