SEOUL, April 23 (Yonhap) -- Galleria Department Store said Thursday it will hold a promotional event for foreign customers, "Luxury Hall in Seoul," at its luxury hall in Seoul from April 24 to May 6.

The company will offer a 5 percent discount coupon to new subscribers of its "Global Membership" program for foreign customers and provide a 7 percent gift certificate for purchases exceeding 500,000 won.

Top-tier global membership customers will also be granted access to the Personal Shopper Room service -- a customized shopping service normally reserved for the highest-tier domestic customers -- during the event period.

The promotion will also highlight "K-content," featuring displays reinterpreting royal heritage through cosmetics and craft brands, including mother-of-pearl perfume products by niche fragrance brand "Salon de Nevaeh."

Pop-up stores will showcase Korean culture and food, including modernized hanbok brand "YojeumiEN," rice cake shop "Obok Tteokjip," traditional cookie brand "Jangin The Yakgwa," and traditional liquor brand "Jieut Rieul."

An official from Hanwha Galleria said the event was designed to allow foreign visitors to experience a wide range of K-content and luxury shopping in one place, adding the company will continue efforts to attract more international shoppers and strengthen its position as a major shopping tourism destination.

Foreign sales at Galleria’s luxury hall rose 29 percent on-year in 2024 and have continued to grow by around 30 percent through March this year.
