GWANGJU, July 24 (Yonhap) -- Gangjin County in the Gwangju-Jeonnam Integrated Special Metropolitan City said Friday it will hold the annual Hamac Festival from Aug. 27-29 at the county sports complex.

 

The festival grounds will open daily at 5 p.m., with the opening ceremony scheduled for 7 p.m. on Aug. 27.

 

Visitors will be able to enjoy a wide selection of beers, performances by popular singers, EDM parties, a rock festival and various hands-on experience programs.

 

As in last year's event, the venue will be divided into general seating and advance reservation seating.

 

The reserved seating area will be located near the main stage and will feature a dedicated beer booth for visitors' convenience.

 

Advance reservations will open July 27 through Ticketlink.

 

This year's festival will introduce two new Hamelchon Beer products, bringing the lineup to four varieties: lager, IPA, brown ale and orange wheat beer.

 

The selection will also include OB Beer's Cass, Hanmac, Budweiser, Stella Artois, Cass Zero and Cass Zero Lemon Squeeze.

 

The festival will also feature a consumer promotion aimed at supporting local businesses.

 

Visitors who spend a combined total of at least 100,000 won by card at participating local stores and the festival venue will be eligible to take part in a roulette event, with winners receiving Gangjin Love Gift Certificates worth up to 20,000 won.

 

Gangjin County Mayor Kang Jin-won said, "The Hamac Festival is Gangjin's signature summer festival, where visitors can enjoy beer, performances and hands-on activities all in one place. We will enhance the visitor experience with new Hamelchon Beer products and a wide range of programs."
