SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Yonhap) -- K-pop behemoth SM Entertainment is set to introduce its first new girl group in five years since aespa's debut in 2020, the firm announced on Monday.
The rookie eight-member group,Hearts2Hearts, will officially debut on February 24.
A teaser video for the group's debut was unveiled during SM's 30th-anniversary concert, "SMTOWN LIVE 2025," held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on Sunday.
The group's name, "Hearts2Hearts," embodies the concept of connecting with global fans through a mystical and beautiful musical universe filled with diverse emotions and heartfelt messages, striving to create a greater sense of unity, SM Entertainment said.
The agency highlighted that the group's eight members possess a wide range of charms and limitless potential.
"Drawing on our unrivaled cultural heritage and solid planning expertise, we aim to showcase distinct colors in music, performance, and visuals that set Hearts2Hearts apart," it added.
