SEOUL, Feb. 13 (Yonhap) -- Actress Son Na-eun has fallen victim to a phone hacking incident, followed by blackmail attempts, her agency YG Entertainment revealed.
In a statement posted on Son Na-eun's official social media on Wednesday, YG Entertainment disclosed that her personal mobile phone had been hacked recently. "
The hacker illegally obtained private data and demanded money in exchange for not disclosing it. Wanting to prevent harm to her family and acquaintances, Son Na-eun initially complied," the agency stated.
However, the blackmailer escalated their demands, seeking additional payments and continuing to issue threats. "The case is already under official police investigation, and we will take strong legal action against all criminal activities, including privacy invasion and blackmail," YG Entertainment affirmed.
Son Na-eun debuted as a member of the girl group Apink in 2011. She left the group in 2022 to focus on her acting career.
