SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- The municipality of Taean County, South Chungcheong Province, said Thursday it will host the "Byeoljubu Night Market" at Byeoljubu Village in Nam-myeon on June 19-20, offering visitors a chance to sample dishes prepared by renowned chefs.
Food influencers Cookim and Cuko, along with chefs Park Dae-hyuk and Noh Jin-hyuk, will participate in the event, presenting creative dishes that reinterpret seasonal ingredients from Taean with Spanish, Asian and Mexican-inspired recipes.
A food market featuring local brands, including Taean Kim Jangsu, Taean Jayeom, Taean Jeotgal Jangsu, Popo Farm and The Mom Ranch, will also be operated.
Taean Fermentation, a local traditional liquor brewery, will unveil "Taean Byeolju," a newly developed alcoholic beverage created specifically for the night market. Visitors will be able to sample and purchase the product on-site.
Discount coupons for use at the venue can be downloaded by searching for "Byeoljubu Night Market" on Naver, while participants in on-site events will receive regional specialty products.
"We hope the combination of our region's high-quality agricultural and marine products with globally inspired cuisine will create excellent synergy and provide a boost to the local economy and tourism," a county official said.
