SEOUL, Apr. 27 (Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS and the band Coldplay’s joint song “My Universe” has entered the U.S. Billboard’s global chart for 30 consecutive weeks.
The song ranked No. 31 on “Billboard Global”(Excl. U.S.) and No. 42 on “Billboard Global 200,” according to Billboard’s latest chart released on Mar. 26(U.S. Time).
These two charts rank songs based on streaming and sales in over 200 countries. “My universe” was named on the upper half of these charts for 30 consecutive weeks.
“My Universe” also ranked No. 21 on “Alternative Digital Song Sales” chart and No. 18 on “Billboard Canada AC.”
Moreover, BTS was named on the “Billboard Global 200” chart with songs including “My Universe,” “Butter”(No. 44), “Dynamite”(No. 50), and “Permission to Dance”(No. 160).
On “Billboard Global(Excl. U.S.)” chart, the group ranked “Butter” at 32nd, “Dynamite” at 37th, and “Permission to Dance” at 88th.
The album “LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her,” which was dropped in September, 2017, each ranked No. 34 on “Top Album Sales” and No. 2 on “World Album.”
Furthermore, the album “BE,” which was released in November, 2020, ranked No. 50 on “Top Current Album Sales” and No. 4 on “World Album.”
“MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA,” unveiled in April, 2019, entered “Top Album Sales” at 97th and “World Album” at 7th.
