SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- Taeyeon of K-pop girl group Girls' Generation (SNSD) is set to release her new single "Heaven" today at 6 PM, according to her agency, SM Entertainment.

 

"Heaven" is a vibrant dance pop track characterized by its dreamy synthesizer sounds, Taeyeon's adept vocals, and rhythmic guitar accompaniment. The lyrics compare the refreshing fulfillment of long-standing desires and thirsts to reaching heaven.

 

In the music video, Taeyeon portrays a woman who considers sharing delicious food with a loved one akin to being in heaven. She meticulously prepares food to bring her beloved to this heavenly state.

 

SM Entertainment highlighted, "The music video combines the story with the lyrics' significance, featuring a performance that captivates viewers. The choreography, moving away from the traditional group dance format, includes free-spirited movements such as running forward or raising arms to the rhythm, embodying the exhilaration and ecstasy of reaching heaven."

 

Additionally, Taeyeon will release a physical album for "Heaven" on August 5, which will include a photobook and mini photo cards.
