SEOUL, Aug. 25 (Yonhap) -- Actress Lee Hanee has given birth to her second daughter, her agency said Monday.

 

According to Saram Entertainment’s subsidiary Team HOPE, Lee delivered the baby late Saturday night. “Both the mother and the child are in good health and are recovering peacefully with their family’s love and care,” the agency said in a statement. “We sincerely thank everyone who has sent prayers and support, and we ask for continued warm blessings for Lee and her family.”

 

Lee married a non-celebrity in 2021 and welcomed her first daughter in June the following year. With the latest birth, she has become a mother of two.

 

Debuting as the winner of the 2006 Miss Korea beauty pageant, Lee has built a solid acting career through works such as the box-office hit “Extreme Job.” She continued acting actively until just before her second delivery.

 

On Aug. 18, she appeared at the press event for Netflix’s new series “Aema” despite being heavily pregnant. At the time, she said, “My second child was expected to arrive early, so my condition was unpredictable. But I had special affection for ‘Aema’ and wanted to be present to explain the project and greet everyone.”

 

The series, starring Lee, was released on Netflix on Friday.
