'Hunt' starts off solid at top of S.Korean box office attracting 210 thousand audiences

SEOUL, August 11 (Yonhap) -- Final runner upper of South Korean summer block buster movie “Hunt” started off its journey at the top of Korean box office.

According to the integrated network of movie tickets by the Korean Film Council, “Hunt” attracted over 210 thousand audiences and caught up with “Hansan : Rising Dragon” which attracted 125 thousand audiences and top the S.Korean box office.

“As of 8 a.m. on Thursday, reservation rate of “Hunt” 32.2 percent is leading against “Hansan: Rising Dragon” which recorded 27.3 percent.

Director Han Jae-rim’s “Emergency Declaration” which premiered 2 weeks ago, attracted 54 thousand audiences and landed as third on the South Korean box office.

Actor Lee Jung-jae’s directorial debut movie “Hunt” is a spy action movie about two agents of National Intelligence Service, Park Pyong-ho acted by Lee Jung-jae and Kim Jung-do acted by Jung Woo-sung doubting one another as a mole within the agency.
