SEOUL, April 30 (Yonhap) -- Comedian Kim Shin-young will join JTBC’s variety show "Knowing Bros" as a regular cast member, becoming the program’s first female fixed member, the broadcaster said Thursday.

 

JTBC said it has selected Kim Shin-young as a regular member of the long-running show, which first aired in December 2015.

 

She previously appeared on "Knowing Bros" five times as a guest, showcasing her candid humor and quick wit.

 

The production team said Kim is expected to bring fresh energy and change to the show with her distinctive sense of humor.

 

Meanwhile, Kim Hee-chul of Super Junior, who has been a regular cast member for over a decade, will temporarily step away from the program due to scheduling reasons, including health management and an upcoming tour.

 

The production team clarified that Kim Hee-chul is not leaving the show permanently and will return after a period of rest.
