SEOUL, Nov. 3 (Yonhap) -- K-pop juggernaut BTS has begun second chapter, seven members engaging in various individual activities at music and broadcasting industries.


Music industry predicts that the global influence of the world star BTS will not cease even during a hiatus from team activities due to the members' military service thanks to their various individual activities.

Leader RM will co-host tvN's new eductaional- entertainment show "The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge."

Their agency Bighit Music official said, "RM became the emcee of new series because he was a big fan of last series."

RM has previously participated in the featuring of group Balming Tiger's new song "Sexy Nukim" and showed off his charismatic rap. The song made iTunes' Top Song chart in 50 countries right after its release.

He is preparing his solo album as the third member of the septet to make a solo debut.

The first runner-up J-Hope appeared on music festival "LOLLAPALLOOZA" as the headliner and made a grand finale last Aug. as the first Korean artist.

J-Hope's solo album "Jack In The Box" exposing his color as rapper debuted on Billboard 200 chart at No.17 soon after its release.

His collaborative single "Rush Hour" with singer Crush still remains high on music charts a month after its release.

BTS' oldest member Jin continued BTS' solo activities by releasing his first solo single "The Astronaut" on Oct. 28.

The single, composed, written and performed by British band Coldplay, was sold 700,954 copies on the day of its release, according to Hanteo chart.

"Left and Right," a collaborative single between BTS' Jungkook and singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, is on Billboard's Hot 100 in its 17 consecutive weeks, continuing on its popularity.

Jungkook has been nominated for two categories, this year's best music video and the collaboration song of 2022, for this year's People's Choice Awards with Charlie Puth.

In last August, Jimin performed "Bad Decisions," a collaborative song with Jin, V, and Jungkook, American singer-songwriter Benny Blanco, and rapper Snoop Dogg. The song received lots of love in the global market, ranking No.10 on the Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Jimin, along with member Suga, has also appeared in the Korea Tourism Organization's overseas promotional video "Feel the Rhythm of Korea with BTS," promoting local tourist destinations in Korea.

The trailer and four videos in Busan, Daejeon, and Pohang recorded more than 180 million YouTube views.

Member Suga participated in producing and featuring of Psy's 9th full-length album title track "That That" released in April.

"That That" placed 80th on Hot 100 chart and topped the domestic music charts. It was Psy's re-entry into Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 7 years since his song "DADDY" in 2015.

V of BTS has received love calls from fashion industries, taking a photo shoot for the magazine "Vogue" and participating at luxury brand Celine's Paris event with its invitation.

A popular music critic Kim Do-heon, regarding the members' individual activities, said, "I was able to see the potential of their activities after being discharged from the army."

Kim also said, "Seeing members making good progress on global charts as solo artist, the musical potential of each member was confirmed."
