SEOUL, April 28 (Yonhap) -- An alert has been issued over the circulation of malicious emails falsely claiming to be from the legal representative of major K-pop agency JYP Entertainment.
JYP Entertainment said on its official website Saturday that recipients should "immediately delete such emails without clicking on any attached files or links."
The fraudulent emails allege "copyright and intellectual property infringement" and prompt recipients to click on an attachment, which installs malware upon activation.
"We are continuing to respond in order to prevent similar damage," JYP said, urging the public to exercise caution to avoid falling victim to such phishing attempts.
