SEOUL, Aug. 7 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Shin-young, 28, has revealed that he recently enlisted in the military.
Lee shared the news Thursday through his Instagram account, posting a handwritten letter announcing that he had completed basic military training.
In the letter, he wrote, "I'm sorry for sharing the news a little late," adding, "While I was at the training center, I wanted to focus on military life as a soldier, so I wasn't able to let you know in advance."
He continued, "I apologize to fans who may have been surprised by the sudden news, and thank you for your unwavering support. I will do my best to stay healthy and faithfully fulfill my duties before returning."
Born in 1998, Lee made his debut in 2018 through the web drama "Just One Bite." He gained recognition for his role as North Korean soldier Park Kwang-beom in the tvN drama "Crash Landing on You."
He later appeared in such works as "Rookie Cops," "Dr. Romantic 3" and "Moon Flows on This River."
