SEOUL, Oct. 14 (Yonhap) -- Rookie girl band Lightsum, debuted in July, has returned after 4 months with their 2nd single album, “Light a Wish” on the 13th.

“We wondered how to show gen Z’s (generation born between mid-1990s and early 2000s) confidence. We are trying our best to grow into a representative 4th generation girl-group,” said one of the band’s members, Ju-hyeon, on an online showcase.

“This is our first come-back. We wish for our title song, “VIVACE,” to make it into music charts and for our songs to be more recognized,” added Ju-hyeon.

“VIVACE” is from an Italian meaning “fast and lively.” The dreamy and mystical song contains the group’s positive universe of having found a bright world.

The album consists of three songs including “You, jam,” an ear-catching melody singing the curiosity towards someone and “Popcorn” with colorful melody lines.

“We thought of a way to express “VIVACE”’s powerful and yet soft atmosphere. We practiced hoping for the wishes of those who watch our stage to come true,” said Hui-yeon.

“Our debut song “Vanilla” showed a rookie’s confidence and lovely cuteness, this time, with ‘VIVACE,’ you may see a bit of charisma with a little more mystical air,” said Cho-won.

Lightsum’s released their new song “VIVACE” and music video through music sites at 6 p.m. on the 13th.
