SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Yonhap) -- BLACKPINK's Jennie delivered an hourlong, 18-song performance as a headliner at "Lollapalooza Chicago," one of the largest music festivals in the United States, on Friday (U.S. time), her agency OA Entertainment said Monday.

 

Jennie closed out the day's lineup on the festival's main Bud Light Stage, performing live with a full band.

 

Launched in 1991, "Lollapalooza" is one of North America's biggest music festivals, featuring around 170 acts across eight stages and drawing more than 400,000 attendees.

 

Jennie became the first Korean female solo artist to headline the festival, joining a lineup that included Charli XCX, Lorde and Olivia Dean.

 

The Bud Light Stage is regarded as one of the festival's signature stages, having previously hosted top global acts such as The Cure, Coldplay and The Weeknd.

During the performance, Jennie gave the first official live performance of her new single, "Less than a Love," since its release. Fans sang along throughout the song, adding to the atmosphere.

 

Jennie co-wrote and co-composed "Less than a Love," which captures the excitement and lingering emotions of a relationship that falls somewhere between romance and friendship.

 

She also surprised the audience by unveiling an unreleased new song for the first time.

 

Jennie will continue her global activities with an appearance at Japan's major music festival "Summer Sonic 2026" on Aug. 14.
