SEOUL, July 14 (Yonhap) -- Comedian Lee Soo-ji, 41, will undergo surgery after being diagnosed with vocal nodules, her agency said Tuesday.
CP Entertainment said Lee was recently diagnosed with vocal nodules and will receive treatment in accordance with her medical team's recommendations.
Lee has been actively appearing on the SBS entertainment program "No, But Seriously!" and running her personal YouTube channel "Hot Issue Ji."
The agency said the surgery is not expected to disrupt her broadcasting schedule, as enough episodes were recorded in advance.
"Lee plans to resume her activities after taking time to recover," the agency said. "We will do our best to help her return in good health."
Lee has gained popularity through a variety of entertainment programs, including "SNL Korea" and "Office Workers," and is set to appear in the upcoming ENA Monday-Tuesday drama series "New Recruit 4: Sabotage."
