SEOUL April 5 (Yonhap) -- This weekend at the box office, both "Exhuma" and "Troll Factory " are expected to continue their strong performance.
According to the integrated ticketing network on the 5th, director Jang Jae-hyun's "Exhuma" maintained its top spot at the box office with over 34,000 viewers (27.4% market share) the previous day.
The cumulative audience reached over 11.18 million, placing it 20th in the all-time Korean box office ranking, surpassing "The Roundup: No Way Out" (10.68 million) and "Silmido" (11.08 million).
Director Ahn Gook-jin's "Troll factory" secured the second spot with over 21,000 viewers (17.3%) the previous day.
Despite the release of Hollywood action film "The Beekeeper," occult "The First Omen" and Korean animation "Yumi's Cells: The Movie" on the 3rd, the dominance of "Exhuma" and "Troll factory" remains unbroken.
"The Beekeeper" secured the third spot with over 11,000 viewers (8.5%), followed by "The First Omen" (approximately 10,000 viewers, 8.8%) and "Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire" (approximately 6,000 viewers, 5.9%).
With the release of Hollywood animation "Kung Fu Panda 4" next week, changes in the box office landscape are anticipated.
As of this morning, "Kung Fu Panda 4" leads in advance ticket sales with 19.3%, followed by "Exhuma" (12.2%) and "Troll factory s" (11.0%).
