Korean animated cartoon series Pororo and Tayo land on Ecuador

MEXICO CITY, July 15 (Yonhap) = South Korean computer-animated television series including 'Pororo the Little Penguin' and 'Tayo the Little Bus' have landed on Ecuador, the 'Country on the Equator'.

The Korean Embassy in Ecuador said on the 14th(local time) that the Korean animations are being shown on its national broadcast Ecuador TV starting from last month.

Ecuador children can now meet 'Porong Porong Pororo', 'Tayo the Little Bus', ZombieDumb', 'Kemy' for an hour every day from 9:30 a.m.

Broadcasting has been achieved through an arrangement between Arirang TV and Ecuador TV. Its ambassador explained that It is the first time for a Korean animation to be screened in Ecuador.

The ambassador said that "people are showing positive responses, seeing episodes being sent out again multiple times" and "Social Media events will be held to induce further interest yet also would co-work with the local broadcasting companies for more introductions of Korean contents."
