SEOUL, July 21 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor Kwak Dong-yeon will begin his mandatory military service on Aug. 25 as an active-duty Army soldier, his agency said Tuesday.
Kwak, 29, will quietly enter an Army training center without holding a separate public event, complete basic military training and then be assigned to a unit for active-duty service, according to The Black Label.
"Kwak Dong-yeon plans to faithfully fulfill his national defense duty," the agency said.
Following news of his enlistment, actor Go Kyung-pyo has joined Season 2 of tvN's variety show "Bogum Magical," in which Kwak had appeared alongside actors Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi.
