SEOUL, July 23 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Junho and actress Hong Hwa-yeon will star together in the upcoming fantasy romance series, tentatively titled "Embassy of Foreign Nations in Korea," tvN said Thursday.

 

The broadcaster said Lee and Hong have been cast in the lead roles, though the drama's premiere date has yet to be announced.

 

The romantic comedy follows a mysterious embassy that oversees nonhuman beings, including haechi, mermaids and nine-tailed foxes. It centers on the romance between the embassy's head, a dragon, and a rookie human diplomat who is accidentally assigned there.

 

Lee will play Cha Yeon, the dragon who heads the embassy, while Hong will portray Go Mi-woo, the newly appointed human diplomat.

 

The series is written by Shin Ha-eun, known for "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" and "Love Next Door," and directed by Bae Hyun-jin, who helmed "Hierarchy."
