SEOUL, Sep. 01 (Yonhap) -- Kim Je-deok, the winner of 2 gold medals in 2020 Tokyo Olympics archery has been designated as the ambassador for an online game “Maple Story,” according to its producer Nexon Wednesday.
The company selected an ambassador to promote active users from our society and to spread a positive effect.
“I play the game at the end of the day after practice. I can always enjoy it even when I’m under stress,” said the ambassador.
“Maple Story,” a steadily popular seller, was released in 2003 which is 1 year before Kim was born and is still in service.
But Kim has selected “Adele,” a warrior, as his main character not an archer.
“If the game comes up with an archer with great skills that outrun Adele’s, I will definitely use that character,” said Kim to Kang Won-gi chief director.
As a part of the ambassador project, Nexon will drop a copy of Kim’s archery clothes set for game characters in September. All the profits made by the upcoming item will be donated under the name of “Maple Story” users and Kim Je-deok.
