BTS Jungkook's 'Seven' tops Billboard Global for 8 weeks
SEOUL, Sept. 13 (Yonhap) -- BTS member Jungkook's solo track "Seven" has topped the Billboard’s non-U.S. global chart for eight consecutive weeks, its agency said on Wednesday.
The song maintained its No. 1 spot by accumulating 83.8 million streams and 3,000 sales in countries outside the U.S., according to the latest Billboard Global chart, released on Tuesday in U.S. time.
On the Billbaord’s Global 200 chart, Seven slipped down to the second position after dominating the chart for seven weeks.
On the Hot 100 chart, the main singles chart by Billboard, the song has managed to maintain its presence for eight consecutive weeks, although it dropped nine places to 37th compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, global hit song “Cupid” by K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty continued its streak, ranking 45th on the same chart for 25 consecutive weeks.
On the Billboard 200, Billboard’s main album chart, NewJeans’ second mini-album “Get Up” secured the 28th position, while K-pop boy group NCT Dream's third regular album “ISTJ” ranked 156th, and Stray Kids' third regular album “Five Stars (★★★★★)” took the 157th spot.
