LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (Yonhap) -- BTS has been nominated for America’s most honorable music awards, the Grammy Awards, but the ceremony is likely to be postponed due to the Omicron Variant.

The annual music ceremony, originally set for Jan. 31, is likely to be postponed according to multiple sources, reported the music publication Billboard and business-focused newspaper Wall Street Journal, Wednesday (U.S. Time).

A source with direct knowledge of the ceremony’s schedule said the Recording Academy, which represents the Grammy Awards, is looking for solutions to postpone this year’s awards considering the spread of Omicron Variant.

Last year’s show was set for Jan. 31 but was delayed to March. 14 due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.

BTS has been nominated for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance,” in this year’s Grammys.
