SEOUL, June 27 (Yonhap) –- The group fromis_9 got into a car accident ahead of their comeback, causing a setback in their future activities.

“The car that Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Seo-yeon, Lee Chae-young, and Baek Ji-heon was in, got into a car accident,” said PLEDIS Entertainment on Sunday through their social media.

All the people in the car, including the members, were not seriously injured.

After the accident, they were immediately taken to the emergency room for a check-up.

“The result of the detailed check up showed that none of the members had fractures. However, they were diagnosed with long-term treatment due to muscle pain and bruises,” said the agency.

“It has been said that the five members would not be able to digest the comeback schedule right away as they still have to watch their recovery for the next few days,” they added.

Accordingly, fromis_9 will proceed with the release of "from our Memento Box" scheduled for June 27, but will cancel the online and offline showcase events.

"We plan to operate future activities with health recovery being the top priority,” the agency said. “Please understand that it may be difficult to freely participate in future schedules and perfect the choreography depending on the recovery process.”

Fromis_9 is a 9-member girl group formed through Mnet's “Idol School,” aired in 2017.

Followed by the mini album “Midnight Guest” earlier this year, the pre-orders for their new album “From Our Memento Box” exceeded 160,000 copies, recording their highest pre-order record.
