Shin Dong-yup wins third KBS Entertainment Awards

SEOUL, December 25 (Yonhap) -- Broadcaster Shin Dong-yup won the third KBS Entertainment Awards in ten years.

Shin Dong-yup won the grand prize at the "2022 KBS Entertainment Awards" which he was in nominated with Kim Sook, Kim Jong-min, Lee Kyung-kyu, Jun Hyun-moon and more, which was held in afternoon of December 24 until December 25 at the IBC Audience TV studio located in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Shin Dong-yup was nominated as winner of the grand prize for hosting KBS music competition program "Immortal Songs" for 11 years.

Shin Dong-yup won the grand prize in the 2002 KBS Entertainment awards with the program "Happy Together," and won another in the 2012 "Hello Counselor" in 2012.

As he was announced as the winner of this year's grand prize, he said, "I am grateful to other candidates who have not been able to perform well," adding, "Thanks to you," drawing laughter.

He then said, "I never expected to win the grand prize this year."
