SEOUL, August 25 (Yonhap) -- Production crew in charge of South Korean Music performance show “Music Bank” by broadcasting service KBS is under the police investigation regarding manipulation of S.Korean singer Im Young-woong’s score for the past 3 months.


According to the Yeongdeungpo district’s police department on Thursday, KBS, which is being accused of tampering with the score of Korean singers where the purpose of the show “Music Bank” is to rank the singers based on the scores they receive, is under the investigation in order to determinate whether the accusation stands

Im Young-woong who competed against K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM for the crown on May 13, however he was ranked second after receiving 0 points under the category of number of the song broadcasted.

Police received a complaint through Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in form of a bill of indictment; hence police are going through internal investigation before charging those responsible.

KBS submitted the guidelines and regulations related to how the scores of number of song broadcasted at “Music Bank” gets to implemented as a score to the police.
