SEOUL, Jan. 7 (Yonhap) -- Actress Go Hyun-jung revealed her recent recovery following surgery.

 

Go shared on social media on Monday, "It was shockingly painful, but I safely underwent major surgery and have now recovered significantly."

 

She added, "I will be more cautious and attentive. I sincerely thank everyone for their support and concern."

Go's health issues first came to light on December 16, when she was unable to attend the press conference for the Genie TV original drama Namib, currently airing.

 

Her agency had stated before the event, "Go Hyun-jung could not attend due to a sudden health decline. Medical advice emphasized the necessity of absolute rest and recovery."

 

Neither Go nor her agency disclosed the exact nature of her illness.
