SEOUL March 2 (Yonhap) -- An employee of the Korea Railroad, shortened as KORAIL, was found to have accessed ticket information of Global K-pop group BTS’ RM without an authorization.

According to KORAIL, on Tuesday, the employee who accessed the information regarding RM’s tickets were part of the IT Development team, and has been searching RM’s personal data such as his phone number, address, ticket information and various more since 2019.

KORAIL conducted series of investigation regarding such issue after receiving an anonymous report from co-worker that the employee has addressed seeing RM in real life after checking his reservation.

“Although the employee was accessing the information without an authorization, none of the information regarding the artist was leaked,” adding “After such incident, KORAIL is doing its best to come up with the system where a pop up window will show up when searching for individual’s reservation information to state his or her reason for doing so and more to prevent such incidents from happening.” addressed official from KORAIL.
