SEOUL, September 3 (Yonhap) -- A beer product named after South Korean artist Lee Sun-hee’s debut hit track “Dear J” successfully sold out total of 400 thousand cans announced Lee Sun-hee’s agency Hook Entertainment on Saturday.

Product “Beer Dear J” was created under the purpose to encourage people to revisit their good old memories through music.

South Korean female singer Lee Sun-hee debuted in 1984 through South Korean broadcasting provider MBC’s “Riverside Song Festival” with her debut track “Dear J” by winning the first prize. With her signature track “Dear J” the artist not only managed to top music programs but also swept through major award ceremonies held at the end of the year, becoming one of the top singers of South Korea.

According to the agency “Beer Dear J” features an image of wind gently blowing through Lee Sun-hee’s hair, the drink is for those who remember the track “Dear J” and want to feel the nostalgic and for those of MZ generation kids who are into Retro vibes.

“Lee Sun-hee is getting ready to perform her 40th anniversary concert which will happen in 2023.” announced Hook Entertainment regarding artist’s current status.
