SEOUL April 12 (Yonhap) —South Korean singer Park Bo-ram, passed away on April 11th, according to her agency and police.
According to her agency, Xanadu Entertainment, and the police, a 119 emergency call was received at around 10 p.m. on Thursday, reporting that the singer was found collapsed after going to the restroom during a gathering.
Emergency responders transported Park Bo-ram to the hospital, however she was pronounced dead at 11 p.m.
It was determined that Park had been drinking with two acquaintances on the day of the incident, consuming approximately one bottle of soju among the three.
No evidence of foul play or indications of extreme choices were found.
Police have requested an autopsy on Park's body.
Xanadu Entertainment expressed deep sorrow over Park's sudden passing, stating, "All colleagues and employees are deeply mourning the loss of the deceased." adding, "We are deeply saddened to deliver this sudden news to Park Bo-ram's fans."
They also announced plans for the funeral, stating, "We will arrange the funeral after consulting with the bereaved family." They concluded, "Once again, we express our deepest condolences to those who mourn Park's final journey."
