SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- Kim Soo-hyun's side has refuted allegations that the late Sulli (real name Choi Jin-ri) was coerced into filming a nude bed scene in the movie Real.

His agency, Gold Medalist, issued a statement on Wednesday, asserting, "Actress Choi Jin-ri was fully informed about the bed scene in advance and participated in filming with prior knowledge. When drafting the contract, a separate clause specifying the extent of nudity was included. Both the actress and her agency thoroughly reviewed all details before deciding on her participation."

Regarding claims from Sulli’s family that she was made to personally film the nude scenes despite the availability of a body double, the agency clarified, "There was no body double for acting purposes; instead, a 'standing actor' was present to assist in blocking movements during the preparation stage."

They further emphasized, "Forcing an actor to perform a bed scene or a nude scene on set is something that would never happen in any production."

To support their claims, they released statements from Real's assistant director and script supervisor, along with portions of the film's storyboard.

Previously, Sulli’s older brother, Choi, raised concerns via social media on the 21st of last month, alleging that Sulli had not been clearly informed about the nude scenes in Real beforehand and that she had been persuaded to film them on set.

He also targeted Kim Soo-hyun, pointing out that he was the film’s lead actor, and that Real was directed by Kim’s relative, Lee Lo-be.

Kim Soo-hyun’s agency responded, stating, "Screenplay development, storyboarding, and filming are within the production team’s domain. As an actor in the project, Kim Soo-hyun had no involvement in these aspects."

Allegations regarding Real, a film released in 2017, resurfaced recently after controversy emerged over claims that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron when she was underage.

Kim Soo-hyun’s side also strongly denied the allegations of an underage relationship with Kim Sae-ron, continuing to take legal action. His legal representatives, LKB & Partners, announced an additional lawsuit against Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon) operator Kim Se-ui for violating the Anti-Stalking Act.

Kim Soo-hyun had already filed complaints against Gaseyeon for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (distribution of illicit recordings), as well as for threats. A substantial damages lawsuit was also underway.

Additionally, his team disputed the claims by labeling each photo released by Gaseyeon with timestamps and the ages of those involved. They asserted that a widely circulated photo of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron pressing their cheeks together was taken after 2019 when both were adults. The image had previously been shared by Kim Sae-ron on her Instagram account last year.

Regarding a KakaoTalk conversation from 2016 between the two, which was revealed by a lawyer representing Kim Sae-ron’s family during a press conference, Kim Soo-hyun’s legal team stated, "Kim Soo-hyun never sent such messages in 2016. The sender must be a third party or the messages are fabricated."

While they acknowledged that the 2018 KakaoTalk messages were indeed exchanges between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron, they emphasized that the two were not in a romantic relationship at the time.

The law firm declared, "The claim that Kim Soo-hyun was in a relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron while she was underage is completely false. We have refuted all of Gaseyeon's false claims with evidence, yet they continue to spread misinformation based on manipulated proof and doctored images."

This statement was released two days after Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference to personally address the controversy. Despite his direct clarification, public sentiment continued to worsen, and Gaseyeon released additional photos and videos, prompting further response from Kim’s side.
