SEOUL, May 29 (Yonhap) -- The 16th Seoul International Senior Film Festival (SISFF), which focuses on themes of aging, death, and intergenerational dialogue, is set to open May 30-June 3. The organizers announced on the 29th that this year's festival will be held for five days at CGV Piccadilly 1958 in Jongno-gu, Seoul. A total of 75 films from 49 countries will be screened for free. Under the theme "Ageless Seniors: Stories of You and Me," the festival's opening film is "Big Kids" (2023). The film tells the story of young students who form friendships with elderly residents after their school cafeteria is remodeled, and they start having lunch at a nursing home. The festival will also host various side events, including hand printing, photo zones, business card creation, and experiences utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to simulate old age.
