SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Yonhap) -- The Seoul Metropolitan Government said it will partner with global dermacosmetics brand Mediheal to launch seven skin care products themed around the Han River, Namsan Mountain and Bukchon Hanok Village on Thursday.
The "Mediheal Seoul Edition" connects three of Seoul's iconic landmarks with Mediheal's skin care solutions for different concerns.
The Han River is paired with madecassoside, which helps soothe the skin and care for blemishes; Namsan with PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide), which specializes in pore care; and Bukchon with collagen for improving skin elasticity and a tea tree line for soothing the skin.
Special Seoul Edition merchandise, including pouches and luggage tags featuring scenery from the Han River, Namsan and Bukchon, will also be available.
The special promotion for derma pads will include one of three pouch designs at random, while special promotions for derma serums and eye patches will each include one of three luggage tag designs at random.
In addition, a pop-up store will be held at the Gahoe-dong Community Service Center in Jongno-gu on Oct. 2-3. The center will be transformed into a special K-beauty experience space, marking the first pop-up store held at a community service center in South Korea.
A Seoul Edition pop-up will also run throughout October at Olive Young N Seongsu.
The pop-up will showcase the Seoul Edition products and merchandise in one place and offer various interactive events, including photo zones, four-cut photo booths and social media participation events.
The collaboration will also extend to a social contribution initiative for Seoul residents.
Ahead of the Seoul Edition launch, Mediheal donated to the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. The donation will be used to create a "Forest of Peace" at Namsan Park, the site of the 2027 Seoul International Garden Fair.
"This collaboration is an effort to showcase Seoul's authentic flavor and beauty by combining its most quintessential landscapes, including the Han River, Namsan and Bukchon, with K-beauty loved around the world," Kim Hyeong-rae, head of Seoul's Public Relations Planning Bureau, said.
