SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- 2NE1's solo concert, celebrating their 15th debut anniversary, has sold out in Japan, following its success in Korea. 

 

According to YG Entertainment on the 2nd, all tickets for the "2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN JAPAN," set to be held on November 30th to December 1st at Kobe World Memorial Hall in Hyogo Prefecture and December 14th to 15th at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, have been sold out.

 

In response to the overwhelming demand, 2NE1 has added additional concerts on November 29th in Kobe and December 13th in Tokyo, bringing the total to six performances in Japan.

 

Debuting in 2009, 2NE1 made a significant impact in Japan, becoming the first Korean artist to top the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with their debut album in 2011. The agency stated, "The news of 2NE1's return after 10 years has led to explosive demand, with numerous requests from fans who couldn't secure tickets for additional performances."

 

Before their Japan shows, 2NE1 will meet their Korean fans first with performances scheduled from October 4th to 6th at Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park. This will be 2NE1's first solo concert in 10 years since 2014, and the Seoul shows have also sold out completely.

 

2NE1 is set to continue their world tour through next year.
