BLACKPINK becomes first K-pop girl group to top Billboard's main album chart

SEOUL, Sept. 26 (Yonhap) -- BLACKPINK  has become the first K-pop girl group to top the U.S. Billboard main album chart "Billboard 200." 

 

According to the data provided by the Billboard chart on the September 25 (local time), the second full-length album "BORN PINK" recorded sales of 102,000 copies, becoming the first album of K-pop female group to have topped the chart in 14 years since 2008. 

 

BLACKPINK is the quartet K-pop group to have topped the "Billboard 200" after BTS, SuperM, and Stray Kids. All the other three teams are K-pop boy groups.
