A red-billed starling pecks at a persimmon on a tree in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, on South Korea's east coast on Dec. 1, 2022.
In Korea, people seldom pick persimmons at the tops of trees so that birds, such as magpies, can eat them. Such treetop persimmons are often called "kkachibap," which means food for magpies. (Yonhap)
