SEOUL, Oct. 14 (Yonhap) -- Global makeup brand Etude is launching its new "Sagak Sagak Eyelighter," a multi-use eye stick designed to create a natural aegyo-sal effect and add dimension with a crisp, pencil-like texture.
The new product is a multi-use eye stick that combines the distinctive texture and vivid color payoff of a wooden pencil with smooth application and improved adherence. By blending powder and wax in an optimized ratio, the product allows users to build up clear color as if drawing on the desired areas without looking cakey or clumping. Its thin, comfortable application helps maintain clean eye makeup over time.
The product combines the convenience of a stick format with the light, natural finish characteristic of a pencil. It can be used not only on the aegyo-sal area under the eyes but also on other areas where users want to add shimmer and dimension. It can create a range of looks, from "aegyo-sal makeup" that enhances under-eye volume with bright shades to natural eye makeup using contouring shades.
The product comes in five shades designed to naturally transition from the aegyo-sal area to eye contouring: 01 Pastel Cream, a bright and muted ivory-based shade; 02 Bare Nude, which subtly enhances volume around the eyes; 03 Almond Beige, featuring fine gold shimmer for a more dimensional eye look; 04 Tender Peach, with a peach-toned base for a rosy aegyo-sal look; and 05 Tropical Rose, a rosy brown shade that adds depth and definition.
Beauty creator Jinnyu, who is known for aegyo-sal makeup, participated in the product's development, helping create shades and a texture suited for practical use in everyday makeup.
"Sagak Sagak Eyelighter" will be launched first on Zigzag on Oct. 14, with a launch livestream scheduled for around 9 p.m. that day. The livestream will also feature various promotions offering special deals on the new product.
An Etude official said, "The new Sagak Sagak Eyelighter combines the clear color payoff of a wooden pencil with the smooth application and strong adherence of a stick."
"We hope you will use it in a variety of ways for daily eye makeup, from creating aegyo-sal to adding natural contouring," the official added.
