SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Yonhap) -- Korean skincare brand IOPE said it has launched a new product, "Advanced Derm Pro Repairing Bandage Cream," designed to help damaged skin recover quickly.
The new derma cream focuses on the rapid recovery of the skin barrier. It was developed for skin sensitized by external irritants or dryness, as well as for "downtime," the recovery period before skin returns to its normal condition following dermatological treatments.
In a clinical study involving skin that had undergone dermatological procedures, three indicators representing downtime all improved one day after use. Redness was reduced by 48.6 percent, while the recovery rates of the damaged skin barrier and skin roughness were 68.8 percent and 125.3 percent, respectively.
The product is designed to address multiple signs of discomfort that can occur after procedures, rather than simply providing moisturization or temporary soothing.
"Advanced Derm Pro Repairing Bandage Cream" features the patent-pending "Active-Bandage Dual Repair" technology. Its "bandage cream texture" adheres gently to the skin and forms a thin protective barrier to create an environment conducive to recovery of the damaged skin barrier. It also contains repair-active ingredients including EGF, PDRN and beta-glucan to help accelerate skin-barrier recovery. The cream spreads smoothly without feeling heavy and can be used comfortably both day and night.
IOPE said it is continuing to strengthen its "clinical-grade" skincare business by introducing high-performance products designed to deliver professional-care-level effects.
"Advanced Derm Pro Repairing Bandage Cream" was launched on global e-commerce platform Qoo10 on Oct. 1 and became available in South Korea through major online and offline channels, including Olive Young, Naver and Amore Mall, starting Oct. 12.
